Three Hampton Roads Cities Square Off For Culinary Bragging Rights

The first of Southern Grit’s one-of-a-kind food events in Hampton Roads returns and this year it will be bigger and better than ever! This time around the 3 Cities Chef Challenge will showcase leading chefs from Virginia Beach, Norfolk, and Chesapeake, who will face off at Sweetwater Cuisine in Virginia Beach on August 3rd to defend the culinary prowess of each of their respective cities. Attendees will be able to view the action in the kitchen as it is streamed live to them in the dining room. Guests will not only enjoy a delectable three course meal made by the chefs, but they will also be treated to a food demonstration and tasting by Edwards Virginia Smokehouse along with a spirits tasting by Tarnished Truth Distillery Company.

Restaurant industry judges and the public will determine the winning city. Competing chefs will be announced soon and tickets are available now at https://3citieschefchallenge.eventbrite.com

A portion of the proceeds will be donated to The Full Circle Project, a volunteer organization which provides opportunities for children to learn life and culinary skills.

The 3 Cities Chef Challenge is presented by Southern Grit, The Culinary Institute of Virginia and Sweetwater Cuisine.
